A Silent Auction Fundraiser To Obtain Serious Funds
Some people may not understand what a silent auction fundraiser is, so let's just say that they're common and not very silent. They are types of auctions where all the items are on display all at once. Every one has a numbered piece of paper with a starting price and people note their name, contact info and the purchase price they're willing to pay.
A typical auction shows you items one-by-one in order to offer the total amount you're prepared to pay for it, which is also a great way to make cash, but it takes time and patience. A silent auction allows people to check out all the things all at once and if they want something badly enough, they'll wait to make the highest offer and you will make a good profit.
Places you commonly find these taking place are at schools, churches or other groups. Parents and members locate items they don't really need as though they were gathering stuff for a garage sale. They then donate these items where an opening price is decided upon and it's put on display.
If you've ever set up a garage sale, then consider this to be a larger scale garage sale that can be handled very much the same. Some display items can include stuff like old clothing, jewelry, household items, dishes, toys and more . The old saying regarding one man's trash is another man's treasure holds true. Anything you may no longer need that still functions can be contributed so it will benefit a worthwhile cause.
Since the objective of your fundraiser is always to raise enough cash for the cause, it's vital to be organized . You will want to give people sufficient time to donate items. The more items there are, the more cash is possible. Then you will want to get everything together, figure out starting prices to ensure you will raise not less than the minimum required and set them out on display.
