Effective Seagull Control
Seagulls are believed to be anti-social, noisy and aggressive. They are cryptic in areas like marinas, landfills and commercial sites. Mostly having the seagull's crap all over creates an uncongenial site for locals and travellers. In some cases the seagulls' behaviour can be deadly for the fitness of residents. The seagulls pick leftover foods and fly off with them dropping them in backyards or on roofs. They also carry diseases which have the chance of infecting humans when folks get in contact with their crap. This is often especially perilous for folks who have rain water tanks. Thus many local councils find it necessary to seagull control human populated areas.
The birds can be found in urban areas. This is a bother especially when they're in large numbers. They scavenge thru litter bins and drop their crap on roof tops and automobiles. Seagulls damage roof filling on buildings, their nests obstruct gutters and cause flooding. The alkalinity of these birds' crap also damages the paintwork of vehicles. The primary way of controlling the seagulls is by not feeding them. They may also be exterminated using methods like shooting and cage trapping. But this can only be done after establishing that non-fatal seagull control is impossible. There are authorized person to try this.
The seagulls' population is growing in inner-city areas. There are numerous factors that inspire their existence. Most of all is the litter that's all over that folks drop. This gives them a continuing food supply making seagull control almost impossible. Top of buildings is a safe nesting area away from predators. The urban areas are warmer during the cold weathers making it a good nesting area that do not require plenty of moving around. These birds are not just a bother but they can be highly dangerous. There have been cases where they're reported to attack humans and pets. They're especially aggressive when their nests are disturbed.
In Scotland a task force was set up to look into the methods of seagull control. The methods used to govern these birds included ; covering of roof tops with net to stop seagulls from nesting, taking away their eggs and replacing them with a stone of the same colour, introducing hawks and other birds of prey to scare them. Proofing of buildings that birds aren't able to nest and reproduce is the best method of seagull control. There are numerous firms that cope with bird control that help in seagull problems.
