Manchester Gigs UKs liveliest Music Scene
It is tough to find gigs in the United Kingdom that will top Manchester gigs. Manchester city was recently voted as the most lively music city in the United Kingdom. The city offers more onstage music concerts than any other city in the UK and came in top of the polls above Newcastle. According to the poll, folks living in Manchester are quite pleased with the amount of live concerts that are held within the city every year.
Manchester gigs aren't only popular among the inhabitants of the city. The promoters of live events within the city are also working hard to promote live events in neighboring towns and towns such as Derbyshire. According to the promoters, local talent in Manchester and the surrounding areas is ripe and prepared for picking.
If you are travelling to Manchester, you will not have fully experienced the city without having attended the Manchester gigs. There are a multitude of gigs to make a choice from throughout the year. If you are interested in attending shows featuring major bands and artists, you must book tickets for a show at the MEN Arena. This Arena has played host to some of the most popular bands and performing artists in Great Britain, Europe and the world including Sir Elton John and Franz Ferdinand. Although the Arena is not within the city centre, it can be simply accessed as it is at the Victoria Station.

If you are within the city centre and would like to catch a top class show, you can visit the Carlin Apollo. Many first class acts such as Strokes and Goldfrapp have performed on this stage. The Carlin Apollo is only fifteen minutes stroll from the Piccadilly Station.
For those that prefer to follow the career of approaching acts and stay ahead of the game, the Manchester Varsity Area has a load to offer. Various Manchester gigs are held in venues within the Varsity area featuring up-and-coming bands. The Academy, Jabez Clegg and Manchester University are venues you might want to try.
Unsigned artists and bands often perform at Manchester gigs held at places such as the Northerly Quarter, and the Night and Day Caf.
