Some Gaming Tips For The Left-Handed Mouse Owners
Getting comfortable with a left handed mouse is only one of the many skills you need to participate in online gaming. Today there are millions of people who play online games like World of Warcraft, EverQuest and other MMORPGs (Massive MultiPlayer Online Role Playing Games). For many people, gaming is a way of life. There are those who only play occasionally. Which category do you fit into? The main point is to enjoy yourself, but what's the best way to do this? If you want to improve your gaming skills, this article will give you some ideas.
If you are left handed, trying to keep up with everyone can be challenging. Controllers are built, mostly, for right handed people. Fortunately, you can designate certain keyboard keys with many MMORPGs. This means that you can create left handed shortcuts to make your game playing a lot easier. The thing is the combination of your keyboard shortcuts and the left-handed mouse is more than enough to become good at anything including role playing games.
Avoid being overly competitive. When you're playing with others, remember what your mom said - play nice... or, be a little humble. Everyone has different skill sets, and when you can out-perform something over another person, don't be a jerk about it and run your mouth. And when you lose, and you will, avoid getting upset over it. Simply congratulate the other player on a match well played. Accept that you have been defeated and try to figure out what you can do to keep it from happening again. You really can develop and build a rep as a cool person who is worth playing.
Don't be afraid to ask for help. No question about feeling weird if you've never played with a leftie mouse and the shortcuts thing. If you can find one, ask someone else who is left-handed for any tips or pointers. After you're done playing, it's always a great idea to ask the person if they can offer any constructive criticism. People love feeling needed and that they're good at something, so that's why it's not hard to find others willing to give you some friendly advice. When you're no longer a n00b, you will do the same to others and help them.
Playing online games can be a lot of fun-especially when you remember that fun is your top priority. Just keep things in their proper perspective so you don't get too emotionally involved and forget to have fun. More importantly, if you act like a brat, the other people in your game won't have any fun either and nobody will want to play anymore. If you need a left-handed mouse, that's cool and get one; but just keep everything in perspective. There's more to gaming than that left-handed mouse thing.
